New York, NY
The owners of this modern pied-a-tere wanted a simple home away from home to enjoy their visits to New York and their spectacular views of Fifth Avenue and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The white box feel, closed-in entry area, tiny powder room and developer kitchen-in-a-closet had to go.
Studio BLS removed architectural elements and reconfigured the spaces for an open kitchen plan merging Foyer, Kitchen and Dining as a single design element. The design incorporated wood panels with metal accent details and custom cabinetry features throughout to unify the room composition. These details combined with custom furnishings, window treatments, lighting and artwork together create a fresh and relaxing place to visit.
